Dal 2006 la terza settimana del mese di Giugno e il centro di ricerca Porto Conte Ricerche, immerso nel magnifico scenario di Capo Caccia ad Alghero (SS), sono sinonimo di una appassionata e produttiva settimana di lavoro per coloro che partecipano alla Summer School organizzata dal Centro di Collaborazione.

Ad ogni nuova edizione accorrono sempre più numerosi nuovi partecipanti, oltre agli habitué che rappresentano lo “zoccolo duro” del gruppo. Al successo crescente di ogni edizione contribuisce certamente la sede del corso, sempre la stessa e quindi familiare, che aiuta a creare un clima amichevole tra tutti gli iscritti, oltre a favorire un proficuo scambio di opinioni. Il clima cordiale e informale che contraddistingue la Summer School coinvolge anche i relatori, sempre di  rilevanza scientifica internazionale. I temi più trattati sono quelle inerenti l’odontoiatra preventiva e quella di comunità. Le lezioni frontali sono affiancate da lavori interattivi di gruppo, in cui i discenti hanno la possibilità di “sperimentare” quanto appreso e scambiare opinioni, idee e ipotesi di lavoro con gli altri partecipanti e naturalmente con i relatori.

Lo spirito tipico della Summer School non si limita però a delle fruttuose e appassionanti giornate di lavoro tra amici: a lavori conclusi, nel pomeriggio i partecipanti si precipitano in spiaggia a godere dello splendido paesaggio, del clima e del mare. Le serate sono contraddistinte da appassionanti cene tipiche in agriturismo o di fronte allo splendido scenario del mare di Alghero.

Ad ogni edizione l’affiatamento fra tutti gli iscritti cresce di giorno in giorno: il clima è simile a quello che si instaura tra amici di vecchia data al ritrovo dopo un lungo periodo.

Il ricordo che la Summer School lascia dal punto di vista professionale e umano, è certamente positivo e il rientro alla vita quotidiana contempla sempre anche qualche attimo di malinconia...

History

Since 2006, in the third week of June, the Porto Conte Ricerche, located in the beautiful scenario of Capo Caccia, Alghero (SS), Sardinia, is the wonderful location for a passionate and productive working week for all the participants of the Summer School, organized by the Collaboration Center.

Every new edition is calling an increasing number of participants, and we cannot forget the “habitués” of this important event, representing the milestone of the group.

The location is for sure promoting the interest of the new participants, and then the same location through the years has created a familiar and friendly environment for all the members, where there is an interesting exchange of ideas and experiences.

The nice and informal environment, typical of the Summer School, is involving the speakers as well and all of them have an International scientific relevance.

The most debated themes are focused on preventive and community dentistry.

Lectures are supported by interactive group works and projects, and the members have the possibility to “experiment” how much they just learned and they can share their opinions and ideas with the speakers and the other members of the groups.

But Summer School isn’t characterized just by prevention and dentistry: in the afternoon all the participants are “running” to the beach, where the landscape and the sea are incomparable!
Then the evenings offer typical dinners, degustation of the Sardinian plates and wines. 

Every new edition has increased the harmony among the participants and it has become like a reunion of old and new friends after one year of hard work.

The memories of the Summer School are so strong, not just with a professional and personal point of view, but they are somehow melancholic.
